Launch of Taweelah B Leadership Development Programme

Taweelah B has recently launched the second cohort of a leadership development programme aimed at high-potential future managers. The ten candidates will undertake six modules, complete a UK Chartered Management Institute (CMI) certification, and receive external coaching. This programme is one of the key ways Taweelah B supports Emiratisation in Abu Dhabi.

First gulf-made 400kV cable fitted at Taweelah B

Taweelah B recently completed work on replacing three phases of an oil-filled 400kV circuit with XLPE technology, provided by Ducab of Dubai. The new cable, the first gulf-made 400kV cable, carries enough power to supply four Burj Khalifa’s.

Taweelah site to host 200 MIGD independent water project

The Abu Dhabi government has invited developers to prequalify for the planned 200 MIGD Taweelah Independent Water Project (IWP) – the first IWP in the UAE.

Refreshing AGPS Values

A cross-company team met on the 2nd of July to review the current AGPS Values (known as Top-Ten Traits) and revise and refresh for the future. The team, gathered, spent time considering how other companies express their values (such as TAQA, ADNOC, Marubeni, etc.), and what values mean for them at Taweelah B. A key theme was ‘stronger together’, where everyone recognized how effective our team is when working together. The refreshed values are undergoing final review, for publishing soon.

Taweelah B concluded Summer Training Program

Taweelah B has been hosting five interns from TRANSCO, the Abu Dhabi transmission company, over the summer. Their time has included experience of a variety of departments to build their appreciation of power and water generation. We concluded their programme with lunch and certificates of appreciation last Thursday, 16th August. We wish Miss Latifa Al Nuaimi, Miss Yasmeen Al Mehrzi, Miss Mariam Al Khouri, Mr Nawaf Al Hemyari, and Mr Omar Al Ali all the best for their future careers.
