Our Technology

TAPCO is one of the largest Independent Water and Power Producer (IWPP) created out of the ADWEA privatisation initiative. A $3B power and desalination project company consisting of 2000MW and 160 MIGD. TAPCO is 60% owned by TAQA and ADWEA and 40% owned by a consortium of global utilities investors led by Marubeni Corporation based in Japan.

Taweelah Initial B IWPP Extension ( Taweelah Initial B IWPP Extension I) is equipped with GE Power Back Pressure steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 143.9MW nameplate capacity.

Taweelah Initial B IWPP Extension ( Taweelah Initial B IWPP Extension I) is equipped with GE Power MS9001E gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 96.79MW nameplate capacity.

Taweelah Initial  B IWPP Extension (Taweelah New B IWPP Extension) is equipped with Siemens SGT5-4000F gas turbines. The phase consists of 3 gas turbines with 237MW nameplate capacity
