Ahmed Bin Abbood Al Adawi

Executive Managing Director

Ahmed Bin Abbood Al Adawi is a business executive who specializes in strategic and financial planning, organizational management, and operational efficiency to lead companies in achieving business growth and profitability. He is a certified Executive MBA with 20 years of industry experience across business development, operations, finance, staffing, and compliance.

He is the Executive Managing Director at TAPCO which he assumed in December 2020 after serving Emirates CMS Power Company in the same capacity for nearly four years. Furthermore, he currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Shared Facilities Company (SFCO) and serves as a Board Member at TRO (Al Taweelah Reverse Osmosis Plant), and a Board Member at MIPCO (Mirfa Power Company). Prior to this, he served as the Senior Vice President of the Power and Water Division at Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA). He represented TAQA as a Board Member of several of their subsidiaries such as Jubail Power Company, Fujairah Power Company, and TAQA Generation Power Company.

He obtained his Master’s degree in Business Administration from London Business School and has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville, Indiana, USA.

Ahmad Al Mulla

Chief Financial Officer

Ahmad Al Mulla has over 16 years of experience in the field of Finance and Accounting working with multinational organizations like Mubadala Investment Company and DP World. He assumed the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer at TAPCO in November 2016 and presently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the company.

He is a member of Golden Key International Honour Society and has obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University in Dubai. He is a Certified Management Accountant and has completed CFA Level 1 in 2009.

Tariq Hassan Almarzooqi

Managing Director – AGPS

Tariq Hassan Almarzooqi was appointed as Managing Director of the Operations and Maintenance Company (AGPS) in May 2024.   Prior to his current position, his previous role in AGPS was as a Maintenance Manager, whereas he was joined as Deputy Engineering Manager (2018-2020). Tariq brings a wide knowledge and experience in downstream industries starting with a leading Airline company (Emirates Airlines, Dubai, UAE) as Technical Expertise to Mechanical Engineering Team, from moving to utility sector thermal power plant (Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, Dubai, UAE) contributes to the organization’s capability in maintaining, repairing and overhauling Gas Turbines.
His leadership skills are always linked his achievements as sustainable carrier characterized by his strong influence in team development and encouragement.

Sabri Aljabri

General Manager

Sabri Al Jabri started his career with Taweelah A2 power plant in the Instrumentation Department in 2004 and was appointed as Engineering Manager in 2016. He has multifunctional management experience in business development, engineering design, asset management, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) in power and desalination. He participated in developing the “Heat Reclaimer Project” which was first implemented in the region. He also served as BCM coordinator for Emirates CMS Power Company (ECPC) and took part in the preparation of Taweelah A2 decommissioning and demolition. In June 2022, he was assigned the role of General Manager of Shared Facilities Company (SFCO).

Sabri has a higher diploma of Electronics and Applied Computer Science, a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management from Higher Colleges of Technologies, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Abu Dhabi University.
